These keywords are describing my work. Within several materials I deal with motives from nature, architecture and technology. The canvas is used by me to transfer moods into pictures. Often the emotional aesthetics of the brush itself is in the focus. But I also like to experiment with other mediums to create new charisma. By a series of tape-art on acrylic glass I show a very pure, graphical presentation of architectural motives or classic cars. As a car designer I like to combine technologies with strong emotions. To design a product like a car, the feeling for volumes and a sense for shapes is vital, as well as the urge to create something truly iconic and striking, which has also a strong influence on my artistic work.

HOW IT´S MADE
Handmade, from composition to details
ONLY TAPE
By using tape (highly textured duct tape which is used in automotive design and development) on acrylic glass I try to create motives in a very graphical and minimal way.
FROM COMPOSITION TO DETAILS
I start putting some first tape lines to define the composition and perspective of the motive on the glass.
This lines i use as an orientation to create the main lines of the motive. For example the silhouettes of houses. After this I go more and more in detail. With every motive and every size of glass I use, the amount of details is different.
UNIQUE EXPRESSION
To create a very high contrast I use not only a color contrast as well as a contrast in the texture. By mixing two different medias the contrast between the matt tape and the reflective glass gives an unique expression.
THE WALL AS PART OF THE ARTWORK
With tape as the material and acrylic glass as my canvas, the wall behind as well as the distance from the glass to the wall and adifferent daylight creates a 3D effect, and becomes part of the artwork. By using a wall with a different color or texture, the artwork gets a different expression.
